Workshop 2A: The Nuts and Bolts of Behavioral Family Therapy (BFT)

BFT is an intensive individual family psychoeducational intervention program, which has been found to reduce relapse rates in schizophrenia and bipolar illness by almost 50%. In this presentation, the rationale and components of BFT – engagement, assessment, illness education, communication skills training, and problem-solving instruction will be presented.
